Tonight was our traditional watching of The movie Elf with hot cocoa followed by decorating the house for Christmas. It is always nice to see the 5 trees be finished. We have our large tree with childhood ornaments and memories, the Baylor University tree, the travel tree, and then Cade and Caelin each have their own tree they decorate all by themselves in their rooms. It is a tiring afternoon/evening, but so worth the tears caused by precious memories and the twinkling lights of the trees. The nuts on a stick ornament I made when I was 2 always gets a good laugh, the 1983 depression Christmas ornament brought out a great conversation, the kids were entertained by seeing their pictures when they were small, and Bear just enjoyed being near all the commotion and napping on the couch. Christmas is coming!
