Grapeland has always had a special place in my heart. Since the first time I visited in 2001, my heart felt peace. I loved the beauty that God gives in one small place with the nature. Whether its sunny, cold, or rainy its beautiful to me. The first time I visited, one of the things I loved the most was seeing how important family was. Surrounded by Mumps, Grumps, Cindy, Fred, etc made me feel an overwhelming sense of peace in my heart that this is exactly where God wanted me to be. Grapeland became even more of a part of our journey when Charles proposed behind the dam on Jan 4, 2002. Since then, we have been blessed to go at least annually and our kids love our adventures in Grapeland also. What defines Grapeland to me is being with family, so to share time and make memories with Gamee/Grampee made this time even better. So grateful for the smiles, sunsets, rain, walks, wildlife, ME TV, laughing, cards, books, and so much more. Grapeland may only have a small population of 1465, but it is a BIG part of our lives.
