Cade was blessed to go to Miami for a mission trip with CFBC and 66 servants. A local church connected our CFBC teams to assist with an organization called “One More Child”. The organization assists single mothers who are struggling and come from painful backgrounds. They assisted the organization with cleaning the area around the 5 acres and facilities (8 houses, 2 main houses, 3 storage rooms and a garage). Some of the cleanup included removing palm leaves, taking down a gazebo, picnic tables, shrubs, yardwork, etc. While cleaning the area and serving, multiple people were able to get to know the occupants and share the love of Jesus. He really enjoyed serving and helping with the organization. Cade mentioned that one day they visited a shopping area and were trying to hand out waters and share about Jesus when someone called the Police on them for soliciting. This was a good reminder that not everyone is ready to hear about Jesus. During the trip, Cade was also able to try lots of new local cuisines like Cuban and Puerto Rican. On Wednesday, the teams did get to enjoy a day of fun at the beach in which Cade promptly got sunburned even with sunscreen. When asked Cade what his favorite parts of the trip was, he said breaking up things with a hammer and being with friends. We were so glad to get him back home safely tonight!
