Cade's World Cup Mission Trip

Each year the kids get to do a week long mission trip with CFBC.  The High School mission trip this year stayed in Houston to assist with the World Cup.  Their week was filled with volunteering at the Houston Food Bank, learning about Hindu/Sikh/Mormon cultures, speaking with locals as well as visitors to the Houston area that came for the World Cup, and cleaning out a building in the 3rd Ward that serves low income neighborhoods.  They did get some time to grow as a team with family dinners at night, a pool party, and a final day trip to Schlitterbahn.  Cade said his favorite part was working at the food bank with his team and learning about the beliefs of other cultures so that he can better connect with others.  I loved seeing him come back filled with excitement and reminded that God called us to be servants.  Thank you again to the CFBC staff who spend countless hours planning every detail and helping our students grow their love for Jesus.
