Woodtrace Fantasy Football League

We always have such a fun season of life with friends doing fantasy football.  This year families that participated were the Vanderport's, Kepp's, Trinidad's, Hall's, Joyce's and Ahlansberg's.  Tonight we had the annual draft and selection of players.  It looks like some stiff competition this year and I am hoping to know Charles off his first place victory from last year!

Happy 52nd Anniversary Nana & Papa!

Today, August 23, we would have celebrated 52 years of a marriage that was stronger than one could imagine. A marriage that showed my sister and I honor, loyalty, and true unconditional love. What a blessing to have lived this and learned what love is. Even though Daddy is not here, we celebrate with Mom honoring the commitment made 52 years ago. Love is in the air!

The great outdoors

Staying active as a family is important to us, so today we completed 3.5 miles of hiking and geocaching.  It was a bit warmer than expected, so we were glad we brought our backpack cooler with drinks and snacks.  We also learned that 3.5 miles is a bit far for the kids.  Ha!

Some time with Nana!

Since I had to work, Daddy took Nana and the kids to the gun range for some learning and fun!

Happy 11th BD Cade!

Wrapping up a weekend filled with JOY as we celebrate our sweet Cade. 11 years ago, he blessed us with the title of Mommy and Daddy. The last 11 years have been far more than we could have ever prayed for as parents. Cade makes us laugh daily with his wit, truly cares for everyone around him, has a pallet for great food, and LOVES sushi. Friday night started with a Culdesac party (remember we are still in the middle of a Pandemic) where we had music and friends could play in the Lagarto Court culdesac. We enjoyed cookie cake and ice cream and Cade was even surprised with a few gifts from friends. That night a few of his friends spent the night and I am pretty sure they stayed up the majority of the evening. On Saturday, we got a great surprise when the cousins came into town and spent the night! The weather was perfect, so after a bit of soccer, the family was able to enjoy bike rides through Central Park and fishing at the lake in the neighborhood. Nana decided to also treat everyone for Cade's birthday dinner at one of his favorite restaurants, Blue Iguana Taco House in Magnolia, TX. After a family sleepover, we hugged them in the morning as they had to leave and spent the rest of the day relaxing, playing Lego's, smoking a brisket, and watching a movie with Nana. His actual birthday was Monday, so the celebrations just kept coming! For breakfast we enjoyed Harry Potter donuts and opened his gifts. He was one happy camper to see more Lego sets and hear about his main gift from Daddy and I. We had glowing recommendations to call Carl Rosa for a Sushi class at home. This was the coolest experience ever and best of all one that Cade (nor us) will never forget! All the Grandparents were able to join us and even Caelin had a blast. What a long and blessed weekend celebrating one of the best humans! Happy BD Cade Beatty, YOU ARE LOVED!
