San Destin, Florida

We made it to our happy place...Sandestin, FL this past week! It is hard to believe we have come here for 7 years (minus 2020 due to Covid). So much fun was packed into the week, so I decided to list each day by the adventures we had!

Day 1 was all about arriving, grocery shopping, walking along the beach at sunset and of course Baytowne Wharf.

Day 2 included sleeping in, the beach, zip lining, oysters, and guns...LOL!

Day 3 was a wet one, but that could not keep us from making memories! We did some shopping, got our annual school shoes at the outlet, went to Bass pro shop outlet, ate great seafood, went to beach and pool, and then we headed home to order pizza and relax for movie night.

Day 4 had us exploring different piers around the waters, Nintendo Mario Brother's tournament (Daddy won), searching for shells on the beach, visiting Watercolor and Seaside Villages for sunset, impromptu pictures on beach, & shopping. Thank you God for the laughter and memories!
Day 5 brought morning showers that led to a beautiful evening! Best part of the day was taking a sunset boat tour with the Pagnozzi’s (neighbors for 15 years) and friends. You know you are friends for life when it instantly feels like old times and laughter is never ending.

Day 6 & 7 were all about the water! Feel free to sing along..."On a pontoon..."  You can say we saved the best for last with an afternoon pontoon rental with the Pagnozzi family, yummy dinner on the water, and then a turtle experience and beach walk. A surprise bonus was watching a fireworks display on the beach in Fort Walton. Unfortunately, we knew we had to pack and get ready to head home the next day.  We made the drive home better by stopping in Louisiana at the famous Bellues for lunch and an afternoon ice cream stop at Dairy Queen for blizzards.  Thank you Florida for another year of memories!
