Dancing & the Bass

Cade’s 1st school dance was this evening!  He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and said they danced to 1 song “Gangnam Style” (hahaha).  We had to pick him up early as he had his first Bass solo performance as well that evening at 7:45pm.  We were so proud of his feedback on his bass solo from judges and he scored a 1 all around!  Needless to say it was a busy night, but a great one to remember!

FULL of Activities

Our schedule has been a bit crazy these last few days with staff dev days!  Gamee and Grampee took the cousins on an adventure trip for a few days, Caelin got another tooth pulled and is loving horseback, and Cade started track.  Caelin has been doing weekly English horseback lessons for about 6 weeks now and is really loving it.  She is looking forward to working up to jumping one day.  Cade has been busy trying out and made the track team for shot put and discus.  We are happy to see him trying new things and a new sport.  It made us laugh when Cade said he was “not in track, just field”. Apparently, running is not his thing and he wanted to be very clear that he would stick with the shot put/discus instead of running.  We are looking forward to a fun next few months of activities!

Our floors are CLEAN!

It is hard to believe that we celebrated 5 years in our home on January 31st.  I have wanted to get our carpet and tile cleaned for so long, but I knew it was pricey.  Well, last summer I decided I would do extra contract hours with BrainAbouts and use that extra money for the project.  That in addition to some Birthday and Christmas gifts is what I used.  We spent almost every night for the past week packing up things and moving things off of the floors.  I guess in one way this also forces us to clean each room.  Ha!  The guys from "Team Revved Up" came today around 10am and left around 1:30pm.  They raked, treated, steam cleaned and dried every ounce of carpet.  Then they steam cleaned and treated all the tile/grout.  I am so very happy with the results!!  I did not anticipate the prep work that would go into today, but I say it was truly worth it!  Now I guess we start the long process of putting the house back like it was.  Ha!
