This is our first year we are doing a district wide
Developmental Prom. We are renting out
the KMPC, have a DJ, photo booth, catered dinner, guest visitors and more! The kids are all so excited and in
preparation we were able to visit the Giving Gowns Foundation put on by the
National Junior League of Houston. We
had buses pick up girls from each High School and bring them to the event. Once they were there, the girls attended a
seminar that spoke about believing in yourself, had a luncheon, and were
outfitted with a prom dress/shoes/accessories/jewelry. The best part was the event was completely
free, which means every girl could attend!
My heart was so full after helping get them fitted. Now off to rest!
