Happy Halloween!

This year the pumpkin carving did not go as planned.  Last night we started the annual carving and realized the large pumpkin we bought was rotted on one side.  To avoid cutting it open, we each drew parts of the face on the good side of the pumpkin.  Definitely not what we imagined, but a good reminder that life does not always go as planned and your perception is always key.  On Halloween, the kids woke to treats at breakfast and then had a busy evening after school.  Caelin was excited to be Jesus this year as she wanted to tell others "Peace be with you."  Cade wanted to be a "Cereal Killer".  It was quite comical to see the 2 of them stand next to each other.  Caelin and her friend were hard to keep up with as they ran to trick or treat.  The jokes were endless all night..."have you seen Jesus", "I followed the star to find you", "Jesus is in the crowd", and more.  Cade and his friends chose to stay at our house for the first half of the night to hand out candy.  Once our 4 jumbo bags were gone, they took off as a larger group to trick or treat.  It was a night filled with laughter and fun with friends.
