Today we took part in a 6K event with people from Champion Forest that helped bring funds and awareness to the global need for clean water.The organization that helped put the event on and to whom the money was given was World Vision. World Vision is the largest non-governmental provider of clean water in the world. Around the world the average person walks 3 kilometers to gather water and then back 3 kilometers to their families. So today we completed a 3K walk and then after gathering a container of water walked another 3K. It was definitely an eye opening experience and a good reminder of how blessed we truly are.
