Cade was extremely excited for church camp this year as he was able to go on the High School Beach Camp in Panama City Beach, Florida. Cade brought his friends Parker and Connor and they started thier journey early in the morning getting dropped off at church at 4:30am. The buses pulled out of the parking lot around 5:30 leaving for Floriday. We were amazed that they had over 500 students and 100 staff members joining them on the 12 charter buses. The camp had a "Jesus is Better" theme, and Cade was part of the "Heat" team within the Wildfire house (team red). Each day was filled with a morning "rise and reflect" time on the beach, rec sports during the day on the beach, and nightly worship times. There were fun dress-up days like Girls (pink) vs Boys (black), Space Jam with sports jerseys, and Luau with Hawaiian attire. Throughout the camp, Cade focused on growing closer to God, spending time with friends, and building new relationships. Activities he enjoyed the most included playing water polo, Nuke 'Em, and swimming in the ocean. We are so grateful for a church that invests in our children and helps show them the way to Jesus in a complicated world. They returned home around midnight after 5 days and were exhausted, but filled with memorable experiences from the camp.
