Topsey Exotic Safari Adventure

We had been wanting to take the kids to a drive thru safari again and thought it was the perfect time to take Nana as well.  So, we took a day trip out to Copperas Cove and had the best time.  Nana sure does love her animals, but not all the slobbers or animals that are too large.  The drive through had all types of deer, cows, zebras, emus, ostrichs, longhorns, camels, rams, monkeys, peacocks, goats and more!  We learned right away that the camels were NOT afraid to come in your car and the rams have no problem jumping up on the side of your car for food.  We laughed and had a blast feeding all the animals.  Daddy had a great time rolling down everyone's windows when they least expected it, and even coaxing the Camel to stick it's head in the car by dangling food over Nana in the front seat.  Nana kept screaming "Charles Hall, you get him out right now!" I could hardly stop laughing to take pictures and even Caelin was huddled in the floor board once it turned its head toward the back seat.  I am fairly confident I have Camel slobber everywhere in my car.  When we were almost to the end of the driving part, we saw a newborn deer.  The Mommy was still cleaning the afterbirth off of it, and even delivered the placenta while we were watching.  It was amazing to watch and see nature happen.  Cade was NOT excited to learn about the placenta or watch any of this. Ha!  Before we left, we were able to tour the Lemur cages and even go inside the petting zoo for goats.  We all picked up goats and enjoyed a bit of smaller animals for a pace.  It was such a HUGE blessing to have Nana with us and laugh so many times.  We have so many great pictures and memories from today!
