A family night with Santa

We have made it a tradition the last few years to go visit Santa as a big family in The Woodlands, in Market Street Square.  Aunt Heather, Uncle Christopher, Andrew, Grampee and Gamee all come and after we see Santa, we picnic with sandwiches in the courtyard next to the big lighted tree.  This year, neither Cade or Caelin cried when they met Santa!  This is the first year for that, which sadly means they are growing up I guess.  Cade jumped right up and told Santa he wanted a Lego Arctic Base Camp set, A Skylander figure for his Wii game, and a Lego set with a shark.  Caelin quickly took her place on the other knee and asked for a purple My Little Pony Doll, a "Frozen" puzzle, and a Barbie doll.  I was proud of how big they were and then they also helped to get Andrew to sit in Santa's lap.  Andrew was not having that!  The adults got a good laugh and then Santa had a great idea to peek around from behind the chair while Andrew sat in the big chair.  That was a hit!  After Santa, we headed to the big lighted tree.  The kids enjoyed running around the tree as always and waiting for the light show with music.  Watching all 3 cousins dance to the music was my favorite.  Not sure who has the worst rhythm...but I guess that was the best part.  Regardless it was a perfect night and living this time of year through the eyes of a 3 and 5 year old is really magical.
