Baylor has surgery

Unfortunately, our sweet Baby had to have surgery on Tuesday.  About a month ago his toe nail fell off which has led us on a chase as to why and why it won't heal.  We exhausted the avenue of cysts, spider bites, etc.  And after multiple x-rays/antibiotics and pain meds, it was decided that it could be bone cancer.  So, we made the decision to have that particular digit amputated, and well as 5 cysts cut out, and since he was under anesthesia anyway, we also got his teeth all cleaned.  So, he was like a new man!  Well as luck would have it, he bit off part of the wrapping causing up to make another trip back to the Vet on Wednesday.  We thought they would re-wrap it, but in stead thought we needed to let it heal with the air.  So, we left with no wrapping, and "Cone of shame", and extra pain meds.  Sure hoping our sweet angel feels better soon.  It is so hard to watch him suffer, bang into walls and have no energy.  I try to feed him and take him out, but he will not have any of that with the cone on.  Unfortunately, as soon as I take off the cone, he is constantly going after the raw area on foot.  So, looks like the cone will be hanging around with us for a while.  :(  We love you Baylor and hope you heal up soon so we can play again!
