Baylor Update

Well, since Baylor's surgery on June 9th...things have not gone exactly as planned.  The foot where the digit was amputated appears to be healing well, but his back leg had a cyst removed and Baylor thought it would be a good idea to eat out his stitches.  SOOOO, we have been treating BOTH legs with Iodine, antibiotic cream, table sugar (Vet recommended it for healing process of skin), and wrappings.  We are also still giving him an antibiotic orally twice per day.  The Vet called with news that said the biopsy showed that it was in fact bone cancer.  While this news was still devastating, we found comfort in the fact that they also biopsied the actual part at the amputation site which showed no cancer!  This means the cancer had not spread past the bone they amputated...making him cancer FREE after the surgery.  Yahoo!  FINALLY TODAY we began to see some healing on the back leg.  I prayed so hard for him to heal quickly as the alternative is to take him back into surgery and re sew the leg.  Needless to say we are one blessed family to report it is healing and getting smaller finally.  Here are some pictures of our progress.  We love you "Baylor beenie weenie"!
