Closing out the Redcat football season

Cade's first football season has come and gone.  It was a season of up and downs, hard lessons, long practices, and continued growth. I was blessed to be able to help coach the team throughout the season alongside Coaches Bill, Chris, and Levi (each of whom played on the Redcat team when they were kids). Cade may not have been a huge fan of the practices (but honestly what athlete ever said practices were their favorite thing), but he enjoyed being with his teammates, learning about the game of football, and competing in the games. Despite a tough loss to begin the season the boys responded with a strong season and finished with a winning record and a playoff birth.  We entered the playoffs in 4th place scheduled to play the Saints. The boys fought hard, but came up short in the end. Despite the loss each boy on the team improved as football players and I feel can reflect on the season with pride. Most of all I am proud of Cade and the way that he continued to push, practice, and play. Football is not an easy sport at any age and Cade met the challenge as a first year player. I can not wait to see what Cade is able to TACKLE next!
