Traveling to Canada

We have waited to start our Canada vacation and today was the day!  We had an early wake up call at 4am and left the house around 4:45am to head to airport.  We flew first to Las Vagas, has a 4 hr lay over, and then had our final flight into Bellingham, Washington. Once we landed and got our luggage, we jumped in our rental car (2022 red Hyundai Sonata) and headed out to make the drive to Canada.  We made a quick stop along the highway to grab our first geocache in Washington before heading to the border. When we got to the Peace Arch border, it was a little anticlimactic. After about a 10 min wait, an officer took our passports, asked some questions, scanned our passports and handed them back to us. We asked if they ever stamp passports anymore and she said no. The kids were a little disappointed, but recovered quickly as we were in CANADA!  We headed to our condo on Keefer Street and fell in love with the views from the 29th floor. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. We unpacked and decided to go explore some places for dinner. A few blocks away we found a Tanoor restaurant which was fantastic. Caelin loved her Schwarma wrap and Cade enjoyed his meat pizza!  On the way home, we stopped by the grocery store to grab a few essentials. Thanks to Megan for reminding us to bring reuseable shopping bags! If you do not have a bag, it is $2 Canadian money to get one. As we hung out at the condo, we noticed it stays light outside until about 10pm, sunrise is at 5:10am and sunset around 9:30pm. It was a great start to our vacation!
