Bear's eye removal surgery

Our sweet fur baby Bear is having major surgery to remove his eyes (bilateral enucleation for those who love fancy terms) today. He had been completely blind for well over a year now and for over 3 years has been on 5-6 different drops multiple times daily. Among other things, his eyes began sinking back into the sockets causing a host of other complications. We know in our hearts it is the best decision, although it is hard to watch your babies go through something like this. I know he will be happy to not have all those drops in his eyes daily from now on. These are pics from last night, before surgery, and right after surgery tonight. Once the swelling/ bruising goes down and stitches come out, I will share final pics.  We are praying for a speedy and healthy recovery!
