It's not often that when you enjoy a lesser know band that you get to hear them live. Recently, Cade and I had such an opportinuty when we attended a Dead South concert on February 24. We started off the evening by grabbing dinner at the House of Blues, which set the perfect tone for the night. What made the experience even better was the special entrance we got to the venue after dinner, skipping the long line outside. Cade and I enjoyed the meal and the time spent together. The concert itself was phenomenal, with two impressive opening acts: Jake Vaadland & The Sturgeon River Boys and The Hooten Hallers. The venue was ideal, providing a fantastic atmosphere, and Dead South sounded just like they do on their albums. Overall, it was a memorable night filled with good music, great company, and delicious food.
