It feels like just yesterday we started Caelin’s first season of IEA riding. Today, we had her last of the 5 shows. She got 4th place and missed qualifying for Regionals by 2 points (needed 15 total for the 5 shows). We are proud of her efforts as she ended the season with a 3rd, two 4th, and a 5th place ribbons. Her middle school team even got first place in points for the season, which was super exciting for everyone. Each competition brought its unique challenges with drawing horses, weather, long days and more. Regardless of the challenge, she stood strong, cheered on teammates, and remained positive. We could not be prouder of all her efforts and her growing love for horses. Her favorite part of IEA was being able to “hang out with people who enjoy what I like.” When I asked her to name her best memory, she replied, “hearing my name over the speakers for 3rd place the first time I ever competed.” We are excited to see what next year brings for Caelin and her team.
