Happy 237th Birthday America!

Happy Birthday to the best Country in the world!!  I am THAT American that gets teary eyed when our flag is raised and anthem is played.  Our Country has fought to have the freedoms of today, and I THANK every person who gave their life fighting for "Old Faithful".  Today our country is strong and Our family comes from a long line of veterans and we couldn't be prouder.  So, today we salute our flag, every star and stripe, every reason and battle that it stands for.
For those in our family who have wore uniforms with pride:
- Grandpa "Papa" Rex Parks, Sergeant in Army Reserves
- Great-Grandpa Arnom Benjamin Parks, Sergeant Army Air Corps serving for 3 years during WWII
- Great-Grandpa Barney Lee Watts, fought in 3 overseas theaters as a Medic during WWII. His battles/campaigns medals include Tenisian Theatre, Naples-Foggia Theatre, and the Rome-Arno Theatre. He earned bronze battle stars for all 3 theaters and was overseas between May 1942- May 1945.
- Great-Grandpa Charles Harvey Hall, Served proudly in US Army overseas during WWII until released for medical purposes (Cancer), buried in Ft. Leavensworth, KS on Military grounds
- Great-Grandpa "Grumps" Donald Earl LeCour, Seaman First Class in US Navy
- Great-Uncle Doyle Berle LeCour (Grumps' Twin), Seaman First Class in US Navy
- Great-Uncle Charles Bailey, Major in the Army, served in Vietnam, on active duty for 23 years, 8 years in the Army reserves

- Great-Uncle Charlie Watts was a captured POW during WWII, and was released at the end of the war from a German prison.
- Great-Uncle Frank Hall, Petty officer in the US Navy for 20 years
- Great-Uncle Phil Hall, Master Sergeant in the Air Force for 22 years
- And many more!

To celebrate the day, Daddy/I spent the morning at July 4th workouts! I know we are crazy. Then, we had lunch and home and while Caelin was napping, I had the BEST time! I got to have a special date with my favorite little boy! Cade and I went to the movie theater to see Monster University and we had a blast. Cade loved the movie and was talking about it all afternoon. For dinner time, we headed over to Uncle Christopher/Aunt Heather's house to have a cook out with the whole family. It was great food and fun. The kids played in the backyard and we also set off a few ground fireworks we had bought. Andrew actually liked the sparklers (brave little boy!) and watched all the action. We can't wait to have him running around also. After our own fireworks, we headed out to watch Fireworks in Cypress, TX. It was a great evening and the kids enjoyed the fireworks more this year than any other I think. We thought they would fall asleep in car on way home around 10pm, but no such luck. But with a little rocking, kisses, and book...we were in bed and snoozing in no time. Thank you Lord for an amazing holiday and time with family. Happy July 4th everyone!
